Just Some Thoughts Before I Get Hichted
As I sit here writing this post, I can't believe that in less then two weeks I will be getting married. It feels like yesterday that Andrew and I started dating and now we are about to enter into marriage. A new journey is about ready to begin. I think back to these last six months and I look at all work that has gone into this one special day. A day where Andrew and I will become one! Over these last three years of dating, I am amazed at how God has brought us through. It was through all these ups and downs that really made our relationship strong and showed us how much that we need to rely of God. I feel truly blessed.(:
In less then two weeks, I will have a new last name. I will have a husband. I will have my best friend with me for life. I will have someone that will hold my hand through whatever storm that God brings out way. I will have a man that loves me more then I will ever know. I will have it all!

Stephanie's Graduation
This past weekend, my sister Stephanie graduated from High School. I still can't believe how grown up she is getting. She also has started working this week at Space Center Houston. Where did my little sister go? She is all grown up now and ready to conquer the world. Below are some pictures from the graduation. My aunt Helen was also able to fly in for the weekend so it was great to have some family around. (:

Back on April 18th
Here is a video that was taken during our last major storm. I can't believe how much it rained. Make sure to watch the whole thing because the ending is great. Andrew and lighting do not mix. (: Hope that you all enjoy.

T Minus 31 Days!

We are embarking on the final stage of wedding planning. We are officially one month or 31 days away! This past month has really flown by.
Operation Wedding Invitation took place this month and with the great help from the ladies from my parent’s small group we were able to complete them all. (: I have heard from many people that say that they just love them….. so all that tieing, stuffing, and sealing paid off. Also, need to send out a special thank you to my mom for all her help with the massive printing. Even when the labels were getting stuck in the printer, she didn’t give up. Thanks mom for sticking through it all.
There are still many little details that need to still be figured out and my to do list keeps getting bigger. But I know in the end, I will still be getting married and that is all that matters. Now comes the task of shipping the wedding items and my dress to San Diego. I will be insuring my dress, overnighting it, and making sure that someone can be at home to receive it. I don’t know what I else I could possible do…. maybe hire an armed truck to come pick it up?
Andrew and I also purchased a new dresser and bookshelf for the bedroom this month. I do have to say that is makes me feel very grown-up. We purchased it from IKEA so it only took Andrew three hours to build the dresser. hahaha! Gotta love IKEA furniture.
It has been a crazy and busy month and I am not even looking forward to what these last weeks have in store. Oh it is going to be fun!
*Also, I will be starting a new blog once I become Mrs. Richter (www.thehoustonrichters.blogspot.com). I will keep this blog updated for family and friends on the life of Andrew and I. So feel free to pass it along to anyone you think might enjoy reading it. I will be having contact cards at the wedding with all this information and more! So make sure to pick one up if you are attending. If you are not attending and would like one… just send me an email and I will mail one your way. (:

We are down to the 2 month mark!
As I start this post, it is hard to believe that in just 2 months or 61 days or 8 weeks that I will be getting married. So what has been going on with all the wedding planning? Well here is your update.
Made a trip to San Diego with Andrew. You can read the two other posts to see what we did while we were there. It was a crazy but fun weekend.(:
My dress alternations took place this month. My mom and my sisters came along. It was fun putting the dress back on and get to see it in all its glory. Also, found out the shoes that I bought back in San Diego are too high so that was a little disappointing. So I think I have finally found a good replacement. You will just have to wait to see them. I love them!! My 2nd alternation is happening this month so lets keep our fingers crossed that everything turns out good.
This also was the month that I had my hair trial run! That went great. I just love how my hair turned out. It is very simple and like my mom said, "It is so me."
We ran into a bit of a cake issue this month. Our cake lady found out this month that her granddaughter's was getting married on June 28th in Montana!! However, she still is going to make the cake. We just have to find someone to store the frozen cake, then defrost it, and then set it up. Well..... we found a family friend that will do it all. God is good! I just hope that it all works out.
Then this past weekend was operation wedding invitations. We realized that we have to send them out in just a couple of weeks. So I got a good start on them. My mom has been a big help with printing everything out. Who knew that so much was involved.
Also, Andrew has been an amazing help with looking up stuff online. We were able to order a lot of things for our reception and have it delivered to San Diego. I know that I have been blessed with a great guy. I don't know if I could make it without him there. (:
Wow... April was a busy month and I can't even imagine how much more crazier it is going to get. I will keep you all posted.
